Meu Saldo Fácil

A privacy-first personal finance app for iOS: track income and expenses, see spending by category, and keep everything on your own device.

Context

Meu Saldo Fácil ("My Balance, Made Easy") is a personal finance app I designed, built, and shipped to the App Store on my own. It's my first native iOS product, and it's free.

Problem

Most personal finance apps ask for a lot before they give anything back. They push you to link bank accounts, sync to the cloud, and hand over your financial history to an algorithm. For someone who just wants to know "am I in the green this month?", that's too much friction and too little trust.

Solution

The whole app is built around one idea: your money, under control, without giving up your privacy.

  • Income and expenses logged in seconds, with a clear monthly balance.
  • Spending by category shown as interactive charts, so patterns are obvious at a glance.
  • Recurring transactions for the bills and income that repeat every month.
  • Automatic tithe calculation for people who set aside a fixed share.
  • Face ID to keep the app private on a shared or lost phone.
  • Local-only storage. Nothing leaves the device. No account, no cloud, no tracking.

My role

I owned the whole thing: the idea, the product decisions, the design, the engineering, and the App Store submission. Shipping a native app solo meant living with every tradeoff, from the data model to the empty states.
